"Now more than ever do I realize that I will never be content with a sedentary life, that I will always be haunted by thoughts of a sun-drenched elsewhere."
— Isabelle Eberhardt
So far, I've driven over 3000 miles, from New York City to Miami Beach to Houston, Austin, and Dallas Texas, and into Arkansas, back towards New York City.
At all points, and in between, I've taken pictures, and savored a solitude that does not demand anything of me.
I needed that. I needed to be. All throughout my longest night, the coldest winter, I dreamt of this open road, this sun drenched sky.
At the moment of this photo, I was my happiest.
